Wroughton Infant Academy was inspected in March 2025 under Ofsted's previous inspection framework.
The overall inspection grade remained: Good
We are particularly proud that Ofsted recognised the quality of our Early Years provision, including Nursery and Reception.
Pupils delight in coming to school.
The report highlights:
- a calm, purposeful environment where learning and enjoyment go hand in hand
- high expectations that help pupils learn and develop well
- reading as a top priority, helping pupils become fluent and confident readers
- effective support for pupils with SEND and those needing additional help
- pupils who feel safe and understand how to keep themselves safe

Wroughton Junior Academy was inspected by Ofsted in June 2026 under the inspectorate's new report card framework.
Under Ofsted's new framework, schools no longer receive a single overall judgement such as "Good" or "Outstanding". Instead, inspectors assess a range of areas against a national benchmark known as the Expected Standard.
We are proud that inspectors found Wroughton Junior Academy meets the Expected Standard in ALL areas. Inspectors also confirmed that all safeguarding requirements are met.
"Pupils enjoy attending school. They are welcomed warmly each day by staff. Pupils have positive relationships with staff."
The report highlights:
- pupils who feel safe and well supported
- a well-sequenced curriculum
- positive behaviour and attitudes to learning
- ambitious leadership
- effective support for vulnerable pupils
- a wide range of opportunities that enrich children's experiences
